I received my new HP dv6000z and I really like this box, my only problem is that the palm rest seem to get warm (I can live with that), but the TouchPad seems to get very warm. I only have a couple weeks to decide if I want to return the unit or keep it.
Any other dv6000 owners out there that can help. How is your TouchPad? Should I get a replacement dv6000z or look at the dv2000z or v6000?
Thanks for your help in advance.

i just got my dv6000z today. Mine gets warm too around the palmrest area. I havent used the touchpad gets warm too.
but it's all cool. -
I went to CircuitCity tonight to check out the v6000 and v3000 machines.
They had a dv3000z machine that seemed to be hot around palm rest and touchpad.
They did not have a v6000, but they did have a v3000 and it seemed to be cool as ice. Now I'm trying to decide if I should try the v6000 or go with the v3000? -

The HD is under the palmrest. Some HD brands run hotter than others. HP uses some of everything so there's no way to know in advance which brand you'll get.
