    Hi,

I just received my new Envy 14, and the touchpad seems to be a bit loose, i can press it down lightly and it dents in. Also is the whole touchpad supposed to click? It seems I can click pretty much the whole touchpad..besides the bottom right and left click buttons.

How lightly are you pressing down? It shouldn't be that easy to press down.

And yes, the entire touchpad should click, although it requires some more pressure the further up you go from the left and right bottom buttons.

I also just got an Envy 14 with this problem. I had exchanged another defective unit, albeit one with a normal trackpad, and can confirm this isn't right.

Looks like I'll be returning it. It's a shame too; it has the better display.

I have this problem too. What the hell, HP.

Does anyone have any fix for this? Is there a way to tighten the touchpad up or something? My new Envy 14 is perfect except for this.

God, I went to officedepot yesterday, and was fiddling with the dv6 units there. What's up with these new touchpads that HP's been using? 1 black of cheapy matte black plastic that presses entirely, and is uneven in the click area for rightclick/leftclick? So sh*tty... Does E14 have the same clickpad? What happened to touchpads being separate from the buttons?
