Alright so I'm new here, so greetings all first of all. Ok so I bought a Dv6040us labtop last year in August. About one and half months ago my labtop just kinda died, I now regret not taking the extended warranty. The problem basically is that the laptop will start, all the buttons will light up, the monitor will not turn on, and a weird beeping sound is omitted from inside the laptop. Anywho I sent it to a repair shop and they say something is wrong with the motherboard, I checked the ram as well, and it doesn't seem to be that either, or maybe I checked it wrong. Anyone have any opinions? Thanks for any help.

What pattern is it beeping in? If it is beeping in some type of pattern it will be a morse code like series of short and long beeps. This is the error code. If it is beeping I believe that is an indication that the motherboard is fine.
