I've learned that OpenGL on the dGPU is or will be possible on Linux. Windows might be screwed due to it's wonky graphical stack.

They honestly wouldn't bother with Linux switching support at all unless OpenGL worked on the discrete GPU. There's no other way of getting 3D on Linux or Mac since DirectX is Windows-only. There'd be absolutely no point in switching on the 6750M/6770M if it only provided 3D through a software rasterizer or 2D only. -
