    Occasionally I could get that kind of battery life, just web-browsing and taking notes in-class using Notepad++.

    I have no idea how it happened, I wish I did though (I also wish that it hadn't been broken and didn't have to be sent in for repairs twice (though it should be back tomorrow or the day after)).

    Of course the NC 8430 does have extended battery options 8 or 12 cell.

    I'm actually considering getting one (extra 8 is $129 and the extra 12 is $179), but I'm still not to sure if I want to spend the money. It might be better for me to hawk the power plugs (about half of my classes have easy access but study areas do not).
