This is my first notebook and so far i have no complaints.

    Intel Core 2 Duo
    T5500 (1.66GHZ, 2MB L2 cache)
    Windows XP Media Center Edition
    Vista ready
    1.3MP webcam
    2048MB system memory
    120 GB Hard drive

I've gotten on the windows and norton updates and I'm starting to get rid of the bloatware now. Still need to run the deadpixel test.
Any tips on things i should check for or do to my new notebook.

so far so good with this thing. I pretty much got lucky with the annoying whine sound I guess. I do recall hearing it once and only once. That was when i was doing a great deal of multitasking.

I'm wondering if anyone with the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family has played warcraft on their systems?

I know the 945GM isn't nearly the best choice for gaming but i never intended this notebook to be for gaming. Now I'm thinking about playing warcraft. Warcraft would be the only game i play if at all. The two cents of anyone who's actually tried to play warcraft with the 950 would be a big help. All other advice/tips appreciated.

If you go to the Intel website and search for your video card, I remember them showing what games work and which one that do not. I don't remember the list.

I had this model for a few days. I found nothing really wrong. I did return for the 9030us(at least I think that is what this is - the numbers run together in my head) only because I wanted the larger LCD. Other than the video card, LCD and Harddrive, they are basically the same machines.

I do(like others on this forum) notice that it runs warm...I think its because of the first HD runs hot. The processor runs in the 20s unless I get's stressed and then up into the 30s. Still not bad though.

    You should enjoy your model.
