    New phone with bluetooth and my DV6000T

    I have a dv6000T and it has bluetooth. I just got a phone that has bluetooth. I tried pairing them but the phone can't find bluetooth. Is there something I have to do on the computer?

    What phone do you have? Some Bluetooth only connect with phones. You want to make sure you have OBEX (OBject EXchange) option enabled on your phone if you want to connect to a computer. I have a Motorola E815 which I had to hack to enable the OBEX option. Some companies like Verizon disable that feature so that you have to use their service (GetItNow which charges you per uploads/transfer size) to upload pictures, songs, etc. It's marketing bull crap but there's always a way around those things. If you have Verizon, most likely you won't be able to connect to your computer via bluetooth. Check out howardforums.com for phone hacks and tutorials. If you need my help, just pm me.
