I just went to the HP website and saw that instead of the T7100 or the T7300, HP is now offering T7500 and T7700 instead on the dv6500t. It also seems to have lowered its price for T5250.
I'm wondering are they anticipating something when Intel launches the new processors on Sept 2? Price cuts? Are they trying to move a few more of the older processors?

Probably trying to compete better with the Dell Insiprion 1520 - seeing how the dv6500t is underpowered in a direct comparison.

what??? new intel processors on the 2nd?? I though peryn wasn't due til' late this year. the choices on the dv2500t also got changed. I hope they put a 8600 in the dv6500 or something and jack up the dedicated ram in the 2500t

Sorry that might've been a bit misleading. Intel is launching T7800, T7250 and Celeron M 550. Intel also announced they're reducing prices on T7500 and T7700.
