Too bad no LED screens and Intel processors for the TX series. DV's get a lot of new processor choices, seems that all of the current Core 2 Duo's and new Pentium Dual Cores are available.

Yeah, i was pretty happy hearing about the new refreshes(from engadget), only to read about the tx1300, which would interest me the most, has seemingly gotten nothing new other then a fancy paintjob and one of the 'traditional' trackpads. They didnt even add HDMI out, which is something they said they would add across the board to all their notebooks.

I cant imagine why someone would wait for it, when most places are trying to clear out their tx1000 stock. Futureshop in canada has a $300 off sale right now on the top tier tx1000.

Ideally, id have liked to see them switch to intel chips, bump the GPU up to a 8400g, add HDMI, and i know this last one is wishful thinking, add an esata port. giving the option of a TRUE tablet screen would be nice too(no touch screen = no extra cost. basic pressure screen = +100. Wacom like screen = +200/300)

Although the tx1300 seems like a disappointment, it appears to use the same touchpad as the tx1000 series; so I don't know what you're talking about the tx1300 having a 'traditional' touchpad. Otherwise, I totally agree with your post.

Also, it appears that HP has killed off the Compaq brand, replacind the V3000 and V6000 with the HP G6000 and G7000 notebooks. Oh well.
