The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi guys,

    a few weeks ago Hp ask me to write a review on an Hp Compaq 2230s 12.1" notebook for them. They also wanted a setup guide included for UNIX too of which the current model I reviewed I whacked Linux onto.... however next month or so I will buy another one of these and load it up with 8GB memory in order to do a triple boot between BSD, Solaris and Linux also.

    Currently, I pushed the system hard with host based OS and guest based OS in VM too!
