    Hello!

I've been using my envy 14 radiance since day one and I decided to stick with the envy line because its treated me so well.

    But anyways..
I wanted to know Id I got a good deal.
I know these laptops are discontinued..
But I still want to hear some of your opinions.

    HP envy 15t 3200

    I7 - 3610
    750gb Hybrid HDD
    Amd 7750
    Radiance 1080p IPS screen
    8gb Ram
NIB Samsung 840 PRO 256 SSD (not installed w/ NIB 9.5 caddy)
    1 year warranty

And pretty much stock everything else that comes with the 3200.

    I bought it manufacture refurbished

I got it for $1000 and although I wanted to wait for the new Samsung series 7. It would've been out of my budget for a similar setup.

    But anyways..

I wanted to use the 750gb hybrid drive as a 2nd HDD in the optical bay. But I don't know if you can use a HYBRID HDD for storage. Can you?

Also, I've been trying to do a lot of research, and I hear the 3rd gen envy 15 got rid of the screen issue (I assume from the LG screen) true?

And on my envy 14, when I want to use the Amd 5650 on battery it reduces the clocks to something like 1/2 the clock speed. On the envy 15 (7750m) if I'm on battery and want to use the AMD 7750m.. Are the clocks reduced at all?

    But yeah, that's all :)

Is there anything else I should be aware of? Or anything in particular that I should pay attention too and look for when I receive this Lappy in a few days?

It comes with a 14 day return period so I want to take it through all its paces and, if need be. Return it.

    Thank you again!!

that is a good deal i got mine for around 1.3k but it had the processor upgrade and no ssd. and yes u can use the hybrid drive as storage, and screen issue is gone, and i think it does throttle for the card if ur on battery. i havent tried it yet so dont take my word on it but there might be an option.

btw u might get a faster response if u posted in the envy 15 3xxx owners lounge or the envy 15 3200 now available thread. Hope this helps :)
