I just updated the BIOS to F.23 from HP's website and now RMClock and HW Monitor do not report accurate temps. It shows the temp of my cpu's sits at 26 C all the time. Anyone else have this problem? I have a dv7t with the P8400 and nvidia 9600GT.

I have this problem in both my dv7's with a t5800 and a p8400. It happend when i put in the new bios too. Watch take your notebook after gaming put it to sleep and wake it back up it will read the temperature onces again and it will be higher.

does anyone here use an app called SpeedFan or CoreTemp? they can read the core temp of the CPU and are usually quite close to accurate.

is this just an intel platform issue with the new bios? anyone with amd based systems notice this? i have a bios F.23 available but have not updated quite yet.
