Just got done talking with a rep from Crucial. They pulled the upgrades for the zv6000 because it is not compatible with the new JEDEC SPD specifications. He went on to say that they "hopefully" would have an upgrade, but had no time frame. He even admitted that they may not even get an upgrade for the zv6000. How do you like them apples? HP really screwed the pooch on this laptop. I have a couple weeks left, but am considering sending it back for something else.[V][V][V]

    Thanks,
    Snyperx

That would explain why there have been so many trouble reports with PC3200 memory. If the laptop can't do PC3200 it's supposed to fall back to PC2700, and that apparently isn't happening. The SPD has configuration info for PC3200, PC2700, maybe even PC2100 for the BIOS to follow. The solution is to buy PC2700 memory, Crucial being my favorite brand.
