Did anyone notice when the Special Edition Livestrong notebook got the boot? I've just noticed it but it is probably months since they removed it. Is it?
Does anyone know if HP and Armstrong will come up with a new Livestrong notebook?

    Thanks,
    Vasil

I think it was just a one-time thing. Since breast cancer seems to be getting some recent boost, maybe there will be pink laptops soon (I already have seen Microsoft mice with that designation).

No but I didnt like the yellow band thing, people just wore them for looks and though oh i bought one so im special kinda of thing, which i hated. if someone were to care about cancer, it be better to spread special awareness. The livestrong thing is great, but its a dying cause, the pink ribbon thing seems like a much better campiagn

Understood, although at the end of the day each "genuine" wristband was a donation to the LAF, so it had/has some meaning, however insignificant. And yes, it was pretty pathetic how many people used them as fashion statements. However, there are still some of us out there who still wear it to this very day for the right reasons ;)

Good riddance in my opinion. Don't get my wrong, I think Lance has done great things, and the laptop at the time seemed like not only a way to support a noble cause, but also a good deal to boot. Unfortunately mine was a piece of junk. DVD drive went, regular crashes, memory card reader deletes your cards before you can download them, the case flexes a lot, and finally, the latches are very loose. If I was Lance, I wouldn't want my name attached to this laptop as it doesn't seem to be a good advocate for his values and beliefs.

What kind of a [edited by moderator] takes advantage of his own illness by expoiting it to make millions of dollars for himself?

1% of the profits of all Livestrong notebooks will be donated to cancer research.
Big deal, 99% is going to Lance and big corporations.

As a former pediatric cancer patient myself, I am outraged and disgusted by this charlatan.
