    No Sound out of speakers!!

    Hey

    I have a problem with my Envy 14. There are not coming sound out of the speakers anymore, but when I plug in the headphones there is no problem. I can see in beats audio that headphones are displayed and not speakers. I hope anyone can help my with this problem..
    I have updated the IDT driver and have tryed recovery without luck

    I have this exact problem but havn't fixed it yet. I'm waiting for school to be done so I can send it in to HP.

    Can you go, control panel, sound, playback, and take a screen shot and post it?

    Right click on the whitespace around the 3 devices you have shown. A menu with two options should appear and they will have or not have check marks next to them. The options will be show disabled devices and show disconnected devices respectively. You will want them to both be checked. This should present a new devices on your dashboard there for speaker output, you will then be able to click on it, and click set default. This should enable sound for you.

    Both the options are marked. So the pictures show all the devices :(

    I discovered today that there is coming sound out of the mic jack to, when I plug in the headphones in the mic jack(accident). I think IDT is confused about which device is the speakers, but is only a theory.

    Both jacks are for headphones. One of the two is for headphones and/ or mic so no problem there.
