    Hey everyone,

I can get perfect video to my TV from my HDX18, but never any audio. I do have an HDMI output option under my audio options, which I selected as default. I can see the sound bars moving (in control panel) while I have a program playing something with sound - but nothing from the TV. I have also updated the sound card drivers. I can plug my PS3 into the TV via HDMI and have both sound and video.

Some people have mentioned using the S/PDIF option (which I've tried), but I don't understand why that would be useful if you're using an HDMI cable. I've used an RCA cable for audio in the past, but the sound quality isn't great, and I'd much rather just use the one cable. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone give me a definitive answer on whether this laptop can output HDMI audio?

    Thank you in advance!
