Hi everyone,
I have the following message on my envy 15t:
No bootable devies (something else)
the laptop was working just find I have just reinstall the OS to factory conditions,(because a virus/malware tool off all my programs folders from the start menu).
like I said the computer was working fine after the reintall of the OS. I left it on table for a few hours (I need to go stuff). But the computer was fine not doing anything just left it on.
When I came back I had the message on my screen.
What could it be?

What kind of a drive to you have? SSD or HDD? Either way, issue is with the drive. But depending on the drive, there may be a fix.

HDD mechanical = no SSD

You'd likely need to run chkdsk /r on the drive. But you'll need a dos environment to do it. Like Hirem's boot CD or some other WinPE environment to run that command which recovers and fixes bad sectors. If you have the original Windows install disks, you can get to a command prompt from there or simple run the repair form the disk.
The other thing is, you may have lost your boot sector. Again, running the repair from the original Windows install disk should be able to fix that. -
I have a a copy of W7 but is not the copy with it came with the comp.
can I use this copy of W7 to repair the comp?
If so, it should work if I do a usb install w7 usb correct? to fix this problem.
also how can I use the cmd to do the repair -
Yes, you can use the w7 copy to do the repair. There are guides on how to run the repair from win7 on the web.
As for the command line, there will be an option in the repair menu of the w7 disc that gives you a command line box. From there you would simply type in:
cd c:
chkdsk /r
Let it run and repair the drive. Even though Win7's startup repair may fix the problem it is still advised that you run chkdsk.
