I have an AMD based dv9000 that does not seem to use any Cool n Quiet or fan control. I downloaded rmclock which is working beautifully to control CPU speed and voltage, but I cannot get speedfan to even detect the fans! The are constantly running, and at 30C the processor hardly needs it + it is a drain on the battery. I see no option to control this is the BIOS, and all firmware and drivers are updated. Anything else I can try?

Did you recently upgrade your BIOS? There is a BIOS upgrade that is know to cause this issue(AMD Rigs only). If i am correct it is version F.3D.
