I tried using the search function but it proved worthless. Has anyone found a easy way without recoding the file to allow Divx files to be able to use fast forward and rewind buttons in Windows Media Player. Seems like at the current time it will not allow you to use those features for common format files other then the Windows default format.

That's strange. Are you using the latest Divx codec? You shouldn't have any problems. Also, what version of Divx was the file you are trying to play formatted for. I've had this problem on one or two old Divx/xvid files, but the fast majority work fine.

yeah. I notice it only doesn't work in media center playback browser. The media player standalone does not even have fast forward/ rewind buttons. I can at least move the time line there. I just update to Divx 6.2 the latest version and went back to Media center mode and I still can't use the fast forward button. I can't move time line here ether.
