ALT+Tab will let you change apps, I do not know what your other part is about...
-
I know what Alt-Tab does
In Vista Windows Key + Tab does this Windows cycling slide show thing... and now it is gone. -
Install WDDM capable drivers.
After that right-click Computer, go to Properties, click Rating(or the number 1.0 next to it). Then, click 'Update my score' and it should work after that. -

make sure your product key is valid also-
Vista disables Aero (along with other features) if you do not have a valid key- or if you have a pirated key. (MS is watching you)

Took me 4 minutes to google this How do I adjust the brightness on an HP dv5t? ? and 4 hours to have someone answer your question here, whch of the two was more productive? -
next thing you'll see him complain about his notebook not making dinner or wash his clothes... -
Do you think it's to much to ask for all the HP owners to throw in a few bucks each so that this guy can upgrade to a METABOX D901C to get him to stop trawling the HP forum?

Don't think he'll stop asking questions... he'll just keep trolling, saying how bad HP service/products/accessories are and keep rehashing problems that are already being discussed in existing threads...

now you know he will.. it's in his nature.. he craves the attention.

-
you need to run the WEI in order to enable Aero.
-
I hope nothing really bad happens to his laptop, the poor sodd liable to have a heart attack.
-
try this
1. Right-click the desktop and then, from the context menu, select
Personalize. The Personalize Appearance And Sounds page appears.
2. Click Windows Color and Appearance. The Appearance Settings dialog
Box appears.
3. In the Color scheme list select Windows Aero and then click OK. The
Display changes to reflect the Windows Aero user experience. If the
Windows Aero does not appear in the Color scheme list, then there is
Some condition preventing the system from supporting Windows Aero.
4. Close the Personalize Appearance And Sounds page.
5. Press Win+Tab to display the Flip 3D screen, demonstrating that
Windows Aero is running. -
mannyA, just so you know.. the OP is banned from here, and won't be replying to you. The info is great though, thanks!
-
lol, why'd he get banned?
-
well, i would guess, for asking the same questions over and over, and arguing with people when they would give him answers to his questions, and just plain being a nuisance. just a guess.
-
