Maybe I am the only one, but I am actually pleased with Vista. The transition has been painless and I like the new interface. There have been a few minor problems with networking with the XP pc's in my home, but all problems have been mostly resolved. Perhaps I was just looking forward to the new experience because I never really had any problems with XP either.

I'm pleased with Vista Business and Home Basic, and to some extent, Ultimate/Enterprise.

I wouldn't say I'm happy with Vista, but it has not been as troublesome as I feared it would be. It just takes up to much space, and has too complicated of a layout for doing most anything. It seems as if all the commands and tools I want are hopelessly buried. But, as I say, it is usable.

I remembered I was stressing and researching like crazy on how to install XP on my new 9500t before I received it. Seams sort of funny on now, I was basically condemning Vista prior to investigation. I have been presently surprised. The operating system is quite visually pleasing and the search feature is very useful. Followed a few tweakguides system is very responsive, I however keep indexing enabled and keep all the visual desktop visual effects running(except for window animation when min/max). No issues with software compatibility or games.

I'm agree with ryanpick, I also have a lot of tools and walkthrough for installing xp in my 9500t, but after some tweaks it is usable. My only complaint is all the resources it eats, but I'm planning to install a 2GB Dimm and add a new 250GB HDD.
