    Hello !! .. I have a small problem with my hp pavilion dv6236us ..

Recently when I was using my laptop in a very quite area, i was hearing sounds coming out from it(close to the keyboard), these sounds were like group of discontinuous peeps or whistles. I'm not sure if this is considered as a problem or an indication for future problems ?! .. Would you please help me find out ?

I may add that, I have been using this laptop for one year now, and unfortunately I can't plug my AC adaptor to a 3-pinned socket since I'm using it outside the US.

Thanks for your assistance in advance. :)

Are you sure its not the whine that people are describing most commonly with Intel CPu's?

How are you changing your battery, externally? Do you hear this noise when on battery power then?

I myself heard a "noise" as well when I used RMClock to undervolt my cpu on my Pavilion.

Hi miner, no i don't think so, i think these sounds mostly come out right over the hard disk !!

Hi mckinneydij , I don't hear these very low whistles during the laptop operation on battery power.

I want to add that, these sounds are not at all times exisiting, especially while the fan is running.

When i contacted HP, they advised me to remove both the optical drive and the hard disk, then reseat them again !!
