Noisy hard disk (DV8000)

First of all I have to say that I am very sensitive to noise coming from my computer, especially a laoptop where you sit just there in front of it.

I recently purchased a DV8020ca. Once I arrived home and unwrapped and turned it on, I realized that it was in french (and I wanted english). So I returned it but not before I could use it a bit. It was dead silent when the fan was not running, and the fan did not run very often.
I went back and got an english one, but now the hard disk noise is very noticeable, even when it is not seeking. It's like a wind noise.

I realized that the new hard disks (there are 2 in the DV8000) where not the same in the french and in the english machine. The french machine had Hitachi Travelstar 5k80, and the new english one has Toshiba MK8032GAX.

Did anybody else notice noise coming from their DV8000. What kind of disks do you have in there. Right now it annoys me enough that I am thinking of returning the laptop.

Mine has two Seagate 5400.2's, and I can clearly hear the HDs if there is no other background noise. It doesn't take much to drown them out though.

My previous notebook had a Hitachi 7K60 that made about as much noise.
