    Norton antivirus

    Am using hp pavilion laptop with Vista windows.I had 6odays subscription of Norton antivirus but before that I had 1year subscription since February 08, but I had to back up my laptop in the mid of April, after that act the 60days subscription was install and now the duration is going to an end and I need to replace it with the one I bought in February since I have the codes with me what should I do?

    If it's the same program, the program will prompt you when it expires to enter the code - so basically dont worry about it till it expires.

    Yeh i wouldnt worry, as nodrogkam explains it will ask for the code once the trial is up and all ull have to do is enter the code and it will be registered again :D

    If it is a separate program then uninstall the current norton, then download and reinstall the version you purchased.

    Kasiga I wouldn't have Norton on my Computers. I have repaired 100s of desktops that people have complained about them running very slow and have had Norton installed. On an average 10 to 25 trojan virus's per computer that Norton hasn't picked up. AVG free is as good as any.

    AVG is good, Avast! has 64bit support.

    www.filehippo.com has a good list of free/trial anti virus programs.

    Norton is free and it is just fine for the average user. Of course if you want to look like an expert on security, then get COMODO.

    AVG 8 is not supported by 64bit? Strange...it seems to be fully integrated and compatible with my vista 64bit...
