I would ask them for a brand new laptop replacement.
6 times is RIDICULOUS and unacceptable. -
After the 3rd repair and it breaks again (all the same problem) you are entitled to a full refund or a new notebook. That's the Lemon Law, so remind HP that it exists.

To the OP...
I would assume you're talking to them over the phone?
If so, try a chat session, e-mail?, or a letter... (To have something in WRITING from them..
(Lemon law)
PS: How about LISTING what the item was sent in for repairs in 2 months, what parts were replaced.

well heres the list of problems from day 1
1. Touchpad not responding
2. Keyboard ans touchpad not responding
3. LCD had several bad pixels

5. LCD has Bad picels again
I called HP like 1 min ago after 2 hours on the phone with them Yelling at them and running complaints They finally said i should be able to qualify for a system exchange . i was transfered to numerous people throughout HP in order to get what i need. a System exchnage. hopefully ill know by tommorow if i qualify for a system exchange -
.
So that's six seperate repair events within 2 months?
HP should do an exchange.... If not I'd consider contacting your credit card company...
PS: I'd remind HP the reason you bought a "Business Class" notebook was to get "Business Class" SERVICE...
(Next day repair... or exchange if they can't fix it.... )
How are you supposed to run a BUSINESS... with something that's been in the shop 6 seperate times, within the first 2 months of ownership?
"Gee Mr Smith, but we couldn't do a heart transplant on your father and he died this morning because the records are on a laptop that is 'in the shop" for repairs...."

I am thinking about going to my fifth (2 toshibas + 2 HP), i don't like this screen, the lower edge are jack up. It distorts the screen when a uniform color is shown across it. I am afraid if I return it, something else will be wrong with it. I also noticed the keyboards are not in alignment with case on the left side (looking at eye level). It kicks the left side of the keyboard up and it flexes more when you type on that side. The one I got now doesn't have it but some display models have the same problem. I also noticed the touchpad buttons are not even on the one I got now.
I might just send it into repair instead of dealing with Circuitcity. There is more of the screen edge at the top than at the bottom, so I am assuming the backlight is not hitting the edge right. Toshiba had a dead pixel, but that is not their fault, they usually don't build the lcd. The quality was excellent and consistent on the Toshiba. If I am able to make another laptop purchase (within a year), I will get a toshiba or dell.
I had an older model before, that had the cpu heat vent on the right side. When the fan kicked, you would get a blast off hot air over the mouse pad and your hand. The processor was a desktop processor put into a laptop (before AMD had turion) and could generate some heat. Why would somebody design a laptop like this HP? Poor design decisions and quality.
Not even 5 hrs and allready problems
