    ZM-NC1000

I have the dv7t and therefore the NC2000 (fits mah laptop) but I really enjoy this cooler. I did not do exaustive research, but saw it on black Friday which had a rebate at the time (and seems to have one now too) leave it on during games at full blast and keeps the temps down but the laptop fan still runs. During regular use with the fan on low, which is barely audible, keeps the laptop's fan off.

If my dv6t cores get to 95 C under heavy load,
what can I expect for temp with a laptop cooler?
Even though HP says 95 C is fine (under 100 C),
and I get no throttling, it seems high to me especially
since the 6770m is running like 55 C? I guess the i7 is
just a beast when all 8 cores loaded.

I can get my Dv6t to 95c fully loaded priming and gaming at the same time. So still under 100c and no throttling in even the worst conditions, that said, normal gaming gets into the 80s. I don't know much about cooling pads, but I just bought the Coolermaster X2 because it seemed the right size and cools the whole bottom, not just one or two fan spots. It has not arrived yet, so all this is based on specs. I only bought one because there is a FANTASTIC deal going on it now at Newegg. It's like $25 with a $10 MIR, for $15 I will risk it not being the best cooler on the market, but it may be for this laptop since the bottom of the laptop just has 4 small intakes. Grab one and let me know how much it lowers your temps.
