My Notebook at times seems to switch onto the Power saver mode when it boots up. The problem that I have noticed when this happens is that one I try to either switch off or restart the system it hangs and I have to force a shutdown by removing all the Power sources. Has anybody experienced something like this? Is there a solution for this weird problem?

turn RMclock off and change it to 'high performance' profile
Rmclock seems to override the vista settings, keeping it the same everytime you reboot -
So I do this when I have the issues?
-
No, just when the Vista profiles wont stick everytime you reboot
The problems your having are bad, it has happened to me twice before. When i try to shutdown it just completely freezes. A clean install with SP1 seemed to fix it
I have a gut feeling that the verisoft security software is responsible for this -
Uninstalled Verisoft. I don't use it anyway. Good that the bugging pop up is gone!
