    Notepad, powers on wid mains, not with battery

    Hello, I am trying to fix a Compaq Armada v300 laptop. The problem is that the laptop wont power up when the battery is plugged in. If i remove the battery and plug just the mains in the laptop works fine, but soon as i try powering it up with the battery in and the mains nothing happens, no green lights nothing. I have also tried other batterys and still nothing... HELP me please :D

    Hi Gohan,
    Have you tested the battery at all? It sounds like you may have a shorted cell. If you can find another machine to test it in, or if you knoew someone who has a battery that fits the machine you can test it.
