I'd just like to know if anyone has gotten their dv2000t with the 7200 yet. I'm considering the dv2000t, and I'd just like to know how the 7200 compares with the GMA 950. It is my understanding that the 7200 only has 32 mb of vram. Does it really preform any better than the GMA 950? Also how is it's power management? In other words, how does it effect this laptop's battery life? Price ($25 extra) isn't my concern. I just want to make sure the preformance benifit associated with the 7200 outweighs any loss of battery life.

    Thanks :)

This question has been answered before, but check it out. Great info and yes the 7200 should perform much better than the GMA because of the dedicated graphics. But if you plan on serious gaming stay away from this one. The battery life shouldn't be affected too much.

Hey, mclar22. I'm returning my current DV2000t with the GMA950 and getting a new one with the 7200. I'm hoping I'll receive the new one before I have to return the one I have right now, that way I can compare them side-by-side. HP gives you 21 days for any return and I still have 12 days to go before I have to ship it back. I placed the order for the new laptop two days ago and it should take another 10 days before it arrives to my apartment. So, if everything goes as scheduled I should be able to do a side-by-side comparison.
I'll let you know how it goes.

p.s. I'm really excited about doing the exchange so I hope to see a difference between the two laptops once I have them side-by-side.

p.s.s. I also asked the same question a week back. Here is the thread:

You sacrifise your reputation to do this test so that others can read from your experience. ;) 2 risky to me.
