Hi folks i'm new to this forum and it's my first post so if i'v asked a question that's been asked a thousand times, i'm sorry......
I'v just loaded windows vista home premium on my HP Pavillion DV8263EA Laptop, the hp website has got a vista driver for it but when i load it, i keep getting the dreaded blue screen.
I have now rolled back to the vista driver and it has resolved the problem..
Has anyone else had this problem and how good is the vista driver compared to a nvidia one......
regards mick

You won't be able to install one directly from Nvidia. If the problem is an old driver then you can go to www.LaptopVideo2Go.com and download their newest version (I think 8 4 2 5) and the modded INF to get it to work on your machine.

Sorry, couldn't find it, anyone else have any suggestions?

I just upraded my DV8408us, with 7600 go, to Vista and I am using the standard driver that was installed with Vista. The driver provider is listed as "nVidia" in device manager and date is 8/22/06, version 7.15.10.9746.
I have had no issues.
Plays HL2 at high with some filtering (2x I think) and my gaming graphics experience index is 4.7 in computer properties.
I'm leaving well enough alone for now.
I have read on a couple of other forums where some of the other drivers have actually lowered the index, and I assume, the performance.
It's a sad thing that the latest vista driver on the HP site for my laptop is listed for the 7400 go and is version 7.15.10.9727 A! -
Please google for XTreme-G MobileForce
This site provides drivers for vista and I just installed the one for xp. It is used for game I guess.
