I connected my laptop to a tv via hdmi and no sound came out. After checking up on nvidia website, it seems that driver after 182.50 is bugged such that the computer does not pick up the tv as an audio output. I have GeForce 8400m on my dv2700t, and windows 7 rc. I downloaded 182.50 from http://downloads.guru3d.com/Forceware-182.50-Vista-64-bit-WHQL-download-2233.html , but during installation, it says the driver's not incompatible. My question is, does a certain version of nvidia driver work for all products? If not, where do I find version 182.50 for 8400m? I've tried nvidia website, which only provides me the latest driver. Googling gives me incompatible versions.
