    Nvidia Vista Drivers

    Hey guys,

    I have the hp dv2315nr with the 6150. I am getting a 2.8 score in the windows vista thingy for the aero performance. I had previously installed drivers that had bumped it up to 3.1.

    I then restored my laptop to the factory settings. I then installed some new drivers and some other ones.... and then I installed these, but it didn't jump up to 3.1 again.

    Was that just an aberration or are the drivers I installed.. clogging? it up... is there a way to remove all drivers and then install? Thanks.

    The highest score I got with my dv2000 was a 3. The only hardware that was dragging it was the nvidia 6150 graphics card. Though I have 3gb RAM it didn't change the score. I also set it at "Performance" and just chose smooth screen fonts opton and it still came out a 3. A 0.1 difference isn't that much.

    The windows rating "thingy" is highly over-rated by itself and is unreliable at all. I had scores between 2.4 and 3.1 for the 6150 GPU with the same drivers and install, so go figure..

    oh well - it is Microsoft ;-)

    Use more reliable benchmarking programs like 3DMark06.
