I have narrowed it down to two machines. One is the AMD64 bit and the other is the Intel dual core. I think that I’d like the display on the AMD better but I don’t know if that tips the scales enough. The AMD also has double the Ram and a DVD burner.

The difference in price between the two is $134.00.

Is the Intel Dual Core worth paying the extra and loosing the screen, Ram, and DVD burner?

If it matters I will have the following up at the same time during most usages:
Internet research, word docs, and excel spreadsheets. Other usages will be stand alone like watching DVDs, power point, and photoshop.

Thank you all for your impressive wonderful help so far in this search to find the right laptop for me.

i would NORMALLY recommend the nx6125 over core duo...
why? read the faq about 64bit vs duo processing. also nx6125 is cheaper

but in this case, i sorta prefer the second one for one reason: the screen.

many people will argue with me, but when i buy a business line laptop, i wanna do a lot of word processing, the ultra high resolution on the nx6125 will make fonts TINY. why the *bleep* do they put such high resolutions on business line laptop anyways?
