    I didn't order Office 2007 on my HP 9700t...but it is there. I assume it is a trial version?

    Thats correct. Mine had the trial as well. I think most systems come with that.

    Interesting thing is this: I bought a Office 2007 copy - and was going to install.
    The trial popped up - for giggles I put the cd-key in and voila! It adjusted to the version I just purchased... Odd.

    That would be the point. Making you install a program that's already installed on your computer would be stupid.
