Has anyone confirmed the official memory limit yet? I searched but nooone seemed to know.

I've got 2.5gb running now, but I'd like to just throw 4gb in, instead of buying a 1gb stick... in case I switch to x64 vista sometime.

Throwing in a T7100 when it comes in the mail, so I want to make full use of it :)

    Thanks

Since the C700 uses an Intel GM965 motherboard chipset, 4 GB of RAM should work. Note that 4 GB is probably the maximum limit due to the nature of the motherboard/chipset.

I kind of figured that, but looking through the C700 upgrades and facts page, I noticed noone was able to run 2x2gb. :(

But... I don't recall if anyone tried the F33 bios, just F31 if I'm remembering correctly. Guess I can always return it if it doesn't work :)

Not necessarily tomashi. Any 32-bit system will technically see 4 GB of RAM, but what happens is on the software side, the computer only recognizes about 3.25 to 3.5 GB depending on model and then reserves the remaining RAM specifically for hardware use. This is due to the coding limitation. A 64-bit version would provide access to all 4 GB inside the O.S.
