Omen 17t-cb000 - Memory Upgrade

I just got the Omen 17t-cb000 with the 2080 and have decided I want to go to 32Gb of ram. Mainly because of some dev work I do that needs a bit more ram.

Anyways, not as familiar with HP or Omen. Any suggestions on RAM replacement modules? Most of the memory tools, have used do not have the 17t-cb000 CTO in their database yet.

Try and find that Micron RAM it is 100% compatible, here is the part number in the red box: 16ATF2G64HZ-2G6E1

 

What I want to know is, do we have 2080 or 2080 Max Q? I dont know how to check. I see 2080 everywhere in the computer

 

Hello. I have 2400MHz 32GB RAM in my 2018 Omen. Do you think I should take it out and swap the 2667MHz 16GB in my 2019 Omen?! I want to be on 32GBs

 

Also do you know if we have 2080 or 2080 MaxQ? I have same model as you

 

RTX 2080 with a 150W TDP NOT max-q

performance is in between a max-q and Alienware area 51m rtx 2080. With my 190w vbios mod this thing gets on par with the Alienware

 

Also you can use the 2400mhz ram from your omen, it probably won’t make much difference to cpu performance.

 

I found out that the RAM is actually 2800 (XMP) i installed it, i dont know what else to do to get the most out of it tho. I think it's clocked at 2400 instead of 2800 that it should be, I think.

 

I wanted to undervolt my CPU but noticed it was 'Current/EDP Throttling'. Also Power throttling when I stress test. Any suggestions?!

 

I can't tell if my RTX 2080 is Max Q or not. Lol.

 

It isnt max-q otherwise it would of said with Max-Q in GPU-Z.

Good job HP for being one of the few manufacturers that uses the regular RTX 2070 and RTX 2080.
