    I'm a newbie here. I have an HP Omnibook XE3 w a P3 700mhz. I want
to know if I can put in a P4 somewhere around 1 GHz. If I Can, Where do I buy it and how do I install it?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

u wont be able to use a P4, the Motherboard is a different socket. look in your manual or go online and see if your CPU is upgradble, the highest u can probably go is a P3 1Ghz

you probably would never notice the difference between a pentium 3 700mhz and a pentium 3 1ghz. If you want to see a speed increase, i would suggest installing more ram.

yes, the RAM increase is the best solution for you, I had one of those a few years ago, I loved that laptop.
