Initially this was working but after installing the synaptics hp driver, i can't open new tabs in IE by hovering over a link and pressing both buttons at the same time (on a DV2000T)

I can't seem to find where to set this. I looked in the synaptics touchpad screen and in IE ...
    any ideas?

Are you talking about just opening up a new tab, or do you mean clicking a link and making it open in a new tab?

You need to adjust your settings in IE Tool / internet option

where in internet options does it discuss changing functionality of the middle mouse button (which pressing both at the same time is supposed to emulate)? The ie tab options doesn't have anything like this. I'm wondering if its a problem in the synaptics touchpad options dialogue, but I can't find a middle mouse button configuration anywhere. I notice under buttons, there is a left and right mouse button option, but no middle mouse button option.

    anyone?

    Thanks,
    Troy
