Ok, so I have a nx8220 laptop. Works really nice, but recently I've found out that a lot of dirt is actually getting behind the LCD screen cover...
Question is, how safe would it be, to open up the front of the laptop and try to clean it?

If you are inexperienced with computers and have never taken one apart, don't do it. If you don't care whether you screw up the computer I would say go for it, but if you plan on keeping it for a long time and don't have the money to pay someone to fix it or buy another, don't do it.

If you plan on doing it anyways, here is a guide on how to take the laptop apart, step by step.

Also, for anybody looking to find out how to disassemble their laptop, go to HP.com, click on Support & Troubleshooting, type in your laptop model number, then look at the guides, and find the one that details how to disassemble the laptop. For the most part, it is labeled as the Maintenance Guide.
