Well, hp finally released the dv3,4,5 and 7t' on the australian online store. It perfectly matches all my needs, except one thing. im getting the maxed out version at 3000 AUD. excpet it isnt really maxed out, it has WXGA+ screen :(. the model comes with a bluray drive, so it wont be truly sublime HD content. for those that own a 17 incher with WXGA+, how is it? is the screen realestate good? i plan on gaming alott and watching blu ray

    :(

Either get the 1680x1050 or ditch the blu-ray. It isn't worth it with 1440x900 screen. Regular DVDs look the same as blu-ray at 1440x900.

Problem is, the hps on the aussie online store arent configurable and i have about 20 more bluray movies than dvds.

Does anyone know if i specially requested it, would hp be able to supply me with a Wsxga or even wuxga screen?

Why can't they just let you buy one with 1050 from ebay?

It's the same in Sweden. Even their most expensive 17 is 1440 by 900 and their most expensive 15.4 is 1280 x 720.

    It sucks.
