Anyone upgrade the standard warranty when they purchased their unit? If so which upgrade did you choose or recommend, and is it worth it in your opinion?

I'm planning on picking up a nc6000 soon so I'm trying to get some ideas about what to get.

    Thanks

The NC6000 has a standard 3 year international warranty. I guess it mainly depends on what you'll be doing with your notebook and how careful your are. If you're traveling a lot, you may want to get the Accidental Coverage, also if you're accident prone. [ :D] If you can't be without your unit, on-site service is a definite plus.
I personally have found extended warranties (from the manufacturer) really useful. I had to do repairs for my aging Toshiba after the original 1 year warranty, but luckily I bought the extended. It paid it self off after the 1st repair (LCD), then it was a huge relief after the 2nd repair (systemboard).
Generally, I'd suggest getting at least 3 years on a notebook, but sine yours already comes with 3 years, you just have to decide on the coverage you need. Travel/accident prone, get the Accidental Coverage. They have offsite Accidental Coverage as well, but don't really know what this is. Maybe if you drop your notebook out of country or outside of your office/home. And if you can't be without your notebook, get the onsite service. Or get them both if you think you need it.
