    Order STILL in production

    It's September 1st and it says:

    Order in production
    (Estimated to ship on August 31, 2009)

    - Does this mean that demand is has been so great that HP can't fulfill all of it's orders on time?

    That would be good news (for them only) in an economy like this!

    I think you're missing the key word there. Lemme help:

    Order in production
    ( Estimated to ship on August 31, 2009)

    Estimate: an approximate calculation of quantity or degree or worth; "an estimate of what it would cost"; "a rough idea how long it would take"

    Things have gotten worse! From the August 31st ship date- it's been pushed back to September 15th.

    Supposing the estimated ship time they quote- That will mean I will have waited one month for the computer from the August 22nd order date . That's a long time in the world of computers. By then they'll probably already have a new line of HDX's.

    Is anyone else facing this problem?
