The one I received 3 days ago had major flex at the bottom right arrow keys. When the arrow keys are hit, instead of the soft click sound, there's this loud "thawp". I don't really know how to describe it, but it feels like there's a void between the keys and, uh, the solid thing below it. However since I'm using an external mouse and keyboard most of the time, that is not a huge factor for me.

Other than that I'm very pleased with this computer. I was surprised to see relatively few bloatware installed on this machine.

The disk runs very loudly when a disk is inserted or accessed. The laptop is very quiet otherwise. I can only hear the fan run maybe a few seconds every hour in a quiet room.

Another thing, the bottom left of laptop (where the hd is located) gets a little warm. I found my built-in hand warmer quite comfortable during cold weather.

Got my dv2700tse yesterday and haven't put it down since. Very pleased with it.

No heat issues (maybe the Penryn processor) and the fan is not even a problem.

My Vaio SZ feels like a cheap piece of junk compared to this. Keyboard is great and there was little bloatware to remove.

Still tweaking it, but only complaints so far are fingerprints all over it, and it's a bit heavy compared to my Sony. Small price to pay for a sweet machine like this.

Also, the WEI score came in at 4.1, which is better than my Vaio which was 3.3. Anyone who is interested, the Vaio should be up on Ebay tomorrow. Seller name is kmet9990skn if you want to see it.

Kind of contridictory, isn't it :D

Does your laptop come with flex near the arrow keys too?

The gap near the right arrow key shouldnt make any noise or dip in too much

My old dv2000 it was a little noticable because the keys would dip in when you press it. I didnt actually notice this till someone posted about it on this forum

My new one is quite solid, you cant actually press it in anymore

The only flex I can see it on the pg dn, end, and a small amount in the up arrow. I didn't really notice it either until it was mentioned here. When I'm touch typing though, the common keys are solid, so it doesn't bother me. There is probably less support in that area underneath it.

Small price to pay considering how good everything else is and the Vaio keyboard and touchpad drove me to the brink of insanity.
