Nice choice, I have the dv9000t and LOVE it.
Normally, shipping doesn't take as long as the estimates, especially around this time of year. Its back to school-Christmas you have to worry about. -
When you get your notebook can you give a review because that is the one that I'm thinking about getting.
-
I've had some HP laptops ship before the estimated date, some not. I guess it is just luck.
As for your unit, looks like a great spec. I really want one of these badly, but don't know if I can justify the cost yet. I'm looking at the dv6500/6000 models as well, but the dv9500 looks so tempting.
Congrats & enjoy! -
I customized a HP Pavilion dv9500t CTO NB which is estimated to be built by June 20, 2007.

I ordered my DV2500t on 5/30 and got a 6/11 estimated ship date. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. In the end, the laptop was in my hands on 6/9! Maybe you'll get lucky like I did.

I've been through it twice recently so far with a dv9000t. The first one shipped ahead of schedule, and I had it pretty quick. The 2nd one also shipped ahead of schedule by a few days, but got stuck in customs for 4-5 days. That sucked! Anyway, both of them shipped ahead of schedule, as they give you a date for the worst case.
With the new nVidia chips, it's possible they'll have problems getting the first few batches in the door, but who really knows? -
congrats you are going to love it -
Your order from the HP Home & Home Office Store is on its way! Your chosen shipping method is two business days**. Estimated delivery Jun 15, 2007 by 12:00 PMLast edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
I ordered my dv9500t on June 6, with a scheduled ship date of June 20. Today (June 12) I got an email that it shipped, and should arrive on the 15th. Here are the specs (don't worry, I have 4GB RAM on order from somewhere else):
- Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit)
- Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz/4MB L2Cache)
- 17.0" WSXGA+ BrightView Widescreen (1680x1050)
- 1GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
- 383MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
- HP Imprint (Radiance) + Fingerprint Reader +Webcam
- Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network w/Bluetooth
- 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
- FREE Upgrade - LightScribe DVD+/-RW w/Double Layer
- No TV Tuner w/remote control
- High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
- Microsoft(R) Works 8.0 -
-

"orev".. how much did you get the 4GB chips for? I am looking to upgrade my dv9000t from 2GB to 4GB but ca't seem to find a decent price for a single 2GB chip
-
Just make sure the laptop can handle that much RAM. The chipset/motherboard might not support that much, and a 32bit OS can only see like 3.2GB. -
I wonder about the dv2500t. Anyone hear anything about those?
-
I see folks are ordering the high-capacity battery. Does this make an appreciable difference in battery life? Does it have any effect on heat output?
-
I got the high-capacity battery because I want to be able to get through a movie on a plane (if i can fit a 17" laptop on the tray!). I had a dv9000, and the battery life was less than 2 hours. I'm hoping the extended battery will give me longer than that.
As far as heat, it really shouldn't make a difference. The battery doesn't really generate heat, and if it did it would be dependent on the electrical load, not the size of it. -

Sometimes the free shipping is really quick with Fedex.

If the same thing happens to you, yours will ship by the 18th. Goodluck!
-
The short answer is, when you pay for fast shipping, you're paying for a guaranteed delivery date. There's nothing saying that a cheaper method won't be just as fast, but it's not guaranteed to be. -

Have been waiting for this to come out for months! Whoo-hoo! -
Wow, you got a nice budget!
-
does anyone know if the dv9500t comes with the new santa rosa chip?
-
-
-
If you see the following processors: T7100, T7300, T7500, T7700, those are all Santa Rosa processors.
-
I want exact the same one as you, adboogies
But i'm from Belgium, and i don't know when they release there :S Does anyone know? -
To further clarify, the T7100/T7300/T7500 are Memrons for Socket P (Santa Rosa). The T7200/T7400/T7600 are also Memrons, but for Socket M (Napa).
The older Core Duos are Yonahs for Socket M.
-
I didn't want to confuse him anymore with further clarification.
-
wow what a budget... but i'm sure you could have gotten RAM cheaper somewhere else
-
Damn, you're lucky to have that kind of money saved up.
-
