look like you don't want to try the imprint coat, they should not charge that much for the skin

well, the imprint finish was 38 dollars more, but I rather choose to spend my money on upgrading to 2 gigs of ram, I think that will have a greater impact on the notebook..Could anybody tell me difference between the standard and imprint finish on terms of color and how does it feel? :(

The standard finish is just a powder coated finish without the imprint and the glossy finish. The media buttons on the top of the keyboard are white compared to the glossy black with the imprint finish. The colors are the same grey black combo without the glossy coating. Ofcourse since HP does not allow you to customize with the 6150 with productivity ports, so the standard finish also lack the media care reader and 1 USB port. This along with the lack of the microphones and Quickplay.

I would have recommended the imprint finish but still your configuration looks pretty good.

So without the imprint finish I could still get the sd card reader and 3 usb ports? I should have chosen the imprint finish, I wonder If I can take it back to hp so they can reconfigure it...its is already shipped out..

Its the other way around, with the Imprint finish you can get the media card reader, 3 USB etc. The standard finish does not include these. If you system is already shipped out there isnt much you can do other than returning & reordering it within the 21 day return period.

Most time, they are not know more than you do if you did a bit of research on internet. My opinion is: You could have chance to buy bigger and cheaper RAM stick from newegg. V3000Z offers free 512MB@667. If you don't want to install Vista right away, then it could save you $100+.

If you bought the system direct from HP, then you have a 21 day no questions asked return window. If you are within this time frame & havent sent out any mail in rebates you can return the notebook & they will refund you the full amount you paid.

    thanks again miner

no card reader, firewire and quickplay

but i don't care about all of them , in my country 27 in 1 card reader only cost 6 dollar . i don't need quickplay , and never use firewire :)

check at the picture , on the right there is an empty space where card reader, usb and firewire should be there if u bought with HP Imprint Finish

    sorry for my bad english

may be not . it's for pavilion series.
card reader and fire wire is not a big problem since i only use usb thumdrive .card reader is slow for me (compare to my thumdrive speed),i ask for the imprint because it have a better look.

I just got my v3000z a few days ago - got with the Productivity Ports,
and Imprint Finish, and also the remote - it does work, but
it may only work when you get the Productivity Ports, and Imprint Finish,

    I dont know

    Good luck
