Well I finally took the plunge and ordered the HP zv6000 with the following:

    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    15.4" Brightview
    512Mb RAM (1x512)
    60GB 5400RPM HD
    128MB Radeon 200M
    Wireless b/g/bluetooth
    DVD burner
    12 cell battery
    Windows XP Home
    2-year extended warranty

    $1248.99 (not including tax)

I hope I'll be happy with this :)

    Thanks,
    Snyperx

Like they say, "Great minds think a like." As far as getting the 2 year extended, I almost didn't. I himmed and hawed over that for like 2 days. I decided to comprimise and get the 2 year. I have worked with enough desktops and laptops in my day to see stuff break. At my previous job we had two backlights go out on a couple of IBM Thinkpads a little over a year after having them. They did have like a 4 year business warranty or something like that. Couldn't imagine if we hadn't had the warranty. Now begins the waiting. Hopefully I get it well before the stated built by date of May 24th.

    Thanks,
    Snyperx

You should get your laptop way before that. My shipping date was May 19th for my R4000 and it shipped within 5 days of my order date.

Just ordered mine as well yesterday.
only difference is I just went for the free 2*256 rather than the single 512
also I'm going to wait off buying the warranty thru hp.
they claim you can get it within a year of your purchase.
too many carmel maciato's near the lappy can be a bad thing.

    bOOm,
Will be using it for surfing, office, and light gaming. Mainly bought it so the wife has something to use. Also wanted something I can use while I am lounging on the couch in the family room.

    Thanks,
    Snyperx
