I'm using HP pavilion dv1000t running WinXP Home, and have burned the recovery DVDs, which will reinstall OS along with other bloatware stuff. If I order WinXP cd from HP do they provide only OS cd or even that one comes with free bloadtware. and if they give only OS cd then can I order WinXP Pro cd for the laptop that was configured with WinXP Home.

I am quite not sure if they are offering clean Windows XP discs anymore. All of the backup CD's they seem to be selling currently are just the restore discs. Try calling them and ask whether they are the same as the restore discs. In any case they will probably ask for the serial number for your laptop to process the order and they will probably know the specs for the system.
