    Ordering my Mini 311 this week

    I'm finally ready to grab the netbook, just want to double check better Ion powered offerings aren't being made available in the next couple of weeks for a similar price.

    I'm not aware of any that are better - 'specially given the $399 starting price (at least that's what it was when I ordered mine). My only regret is not getting the second battery for $50 when I ordered. I've set mine up a dual-booter, Win 7 and Win 7, and I'm very happy with it...

    Why the regret on the battery? Did the one they sent you die or something?

    No not at all - I should have explained; I'm flying quite a bit during the holidays and a (cheap) spare batt would have saved me some hassle. I haven't used the 311 a whole lot but the battery life seems fine - I'd say 4 to 4.5 hours. It has really grown on me - it's a fabulous little system for the money.
