Hi, Im working on a friends Compaq F730US, had some bad viruses.

Re-loaded with Win XP instead of Vista.

Have 1 driver i still cant find, ethernet...I tried almost every link, most took me to nVidia sites, and i still cant get the wired NIC to work...wireless works fine though?

The only missing driver is a "Other PCI Bridge Device" which i am guessing is the Ethernet controller or what not?

I look at the stickies but most threads were support for the DV series...maybe i just missed it, but just dont yell at me for not trying to find it!

Sorry if this has question has already been asked.

But again, Im looking for the ethernet driver for a Compaq F730US, thanks!!

Have you installed the nForce 430/410 chipset drivers (found on nVidia's site)? The desktop drivers work fine, and contain the ethernet driver. I forgot what the "other PCI bridge" device is, but does the notebook have Quickplay buttons and is the driver installed for those? I had a DV6233SE and installed XP on it, so that is how I know about this.

I do not have the quick play buttons, but i have installed the driver anyways...which took away a "Unknown Device"....but ill still left with 1 Unknown PCI Bridge Device....so im not sure, i believe it was the 630a chipset drivers i used...

If you have a link to the site you used? ill give it another go at it

    thanks!

you have to use the nForce 4 430/410 drivers because the GeForce 6100 is an nForce 4. Just choose nForce 4 forceware from nVidia's site, not nForce 6.
