Until recently I was quite convinced of buying an ASUS notebook, but I actually really like the style of the dv2000t.

However, I need a notebook with a proper GPU, does anyone know / have heard, whether HP is planning to bring more dv2000t-look-a-like models on the market in the near future?

As far as I know the design is quite a success already.

While the dv1000's look quite a bit like the dv5000 and dv8000 series (same lid finish, similar blue lights, keyboard, etc.), there really is no way for anyone to know if HP plans to redesign those laptops with the high-gloss coating HP calls “HP Imprint".

The dv2000 IS a really sleek style! I've seen the dv1000 side by side with the dv2000 (I am exchanging my dv1000 for my newly arrived dv2K, so at the moment I have them both) and next to the dv2000, the dv1000 looks block, much larger and outdated. It's not a bad looking laptop (the dv1000), just side by side it shows it's age.

The front edge of the dv2000 tapers to a very thin edge, which also gives the laptop a sleek look, and the finish around the keyboards looks great!

I'd guess that if the dv2000's are selling very well, it would make sense for HP to come out with a similar design for their other models, but again, it'd only be a guess.
